Winter skin care

Winter is here. Whether we like it or not... and I, personally don't like it.

In the winter, there are several factors which have an effect on our skin such as the large temperature fluctuations when we come inside from outside; the drying effect of the heated room and the low humidity of the cold air.

Especially people with dry and sensitive skin suffer around this time. The face is the most exposed to the weather. The skin can dry out very badly and could become very sensitive against many beauty products.

What can you do?

  • Use a humidifier (the best relative humidity of a room is 40%-60%)
  • Use proper skin care products, like shea butter
  • Go to sauna
  • Apply a home-made facial mask from one of the following: pine apple, carrot juice, mashed banana, avocado or egg yolk
  • Try to avoid the water bases moisturizers, because you need protection
  • Mix into your facial cream some argan oil, grape seed oil or almond oil

In the windy, cold weather we have to protect our lips as well. Use natural plant oils, beeswax, jojoba oil, almond oil, argan oil.

And don't forget to drink enough water of course!
